This week on STUPID

Okay... I'm going to presume you read that and didn't just skip it... because it's important.
Here's all I have to ask:

THERE WAS OPPOSITION TO THIS PROPOSAL!?!?!?!

You do realize that all this proposal does is limit the US and Russia to 1550 nuclear warheads and 700 launchers EACH?

I'll repeat that.

I will repeat that because most Americans read a number and think "oh, math... I don't want to do that." PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!

This proposed treaty......... would be an agreement...... to limit the NUCLEAR WEAPON ARSENAL of the TWO BIGGEST NUCLEAR POWERS ON THE PLANET to 1550 warheads and 700 launchers.

YOU MEAN THERE'S MORE?!

What this says, ladies and gentlemen, is that we as a people have been sitting on top of more raw power than it takes to blow up this planet six times over! AT THE VERY LEAST!!!!!!!!!!

I blame television.

Who gave this order? WHO!? Did they think five or six HUNDRED warheads wouldn't do the trick? The A-BOMB leveled a city on its own! Hydrogen bombs are TEN TIMES as destructive as the atomic bomb.

What the big wigs in power have finally seemed to realize is that more of these warheads does not equal more control of the world.

It's nice to know that we no longer think "HEY! THEY HAVE MORE THAN US!!! THEY CAN BLOW US UP TWICE!!! BUILD MORE WARHEADS!!!!!!"

For those of you who think that was a logical argument... blowing someone up ONCE does the trick. If they have the power to blow us up twice, it doesn't mean it's possible. Okay?

Here's some math again....

1-1 = 0... AKA you blow us up once, we're gone.

So, this is a good start for the men in black. Next, all we need to do is figure out who to sell the old warheads to.
